Respiratory-season vaccination messages, inside the pharmacies where people get vaccinated

A city public health department ran a flu, COVID-19 and RSV vaccination campaign and wanted the message inside local pharmacies, where residents pick up prescriptions, wait for a pharmacist and get vaccinated.

PlaceBased ran the campaign on digital pharmacy screens. The screens hang on pharmacy walls, in waiting areas beside immunization signage and near prescription drop-off.

The creative carried one simple call to action, “Get vaccinated. Protect yourself and loved ones.”, and ran in both English and Spanish (“Protégete a ti y a tus seres queridos de los virus respiratorios. Vacúnate.”).

The campaign was planned for 31 pharmacies. PlaceBased installed it in 36 pharmacies: five bonus locations above the plan.

Pharmacies are among the most familiar health settings in a community. Pairing public health advertising with the pharmacy counter puts a vaccination reminder in front of people at the moment they can act on it.
